Tin plating

Tin is a metal that is pore free electrodeposited, forming a very compact and insoluble film that provides a high resistance to weather, water and different saline and slightly acid solutions. It is also resistant to most of organic and sulphuric acids (in absence of oxygen).

Tin coatings are very common in the electrical industry and the automotive sector, although it is also used in many other sectors due to its high electrical conductivity and its anticorrosive properties.

At RECO we have a total of 5 manual, automatic and semi-automatic plating lines, with capacity to work either with rack or barrel processes.

We offer a wide range of types of tin plating, including a highly solderable tin, with the possibility of carrying out zonal treatments.

The base materials that we tin plate, with the possibility of applying different sublayers (copper and nickel), are:

• Copper, brass and all kinds of copper alloys
• Zamak
• Aluminium
