Silver plating

The silver coating offers the highest electrical and thermal conductivity of all metals. It is chemically not very active and blackens in hydrogen sulphide or sulphur environments, maintaining its electrical properties.

We offer a post treatment that gives the silver coating a double benefit: on one hand, it creates a film that provides protection against sulphur compounds and, on the other hand, this same film gives a lubricating effect.

At RECO we have a total of 5 manual, automatic and semi-automatic plating lines. We have capacity to work either with rack or barrel processes and the possibility of carrying out zonal treatments.

We provide hard silver and graphite silver finishes (in-house developed technology), which give the parts greater resistance to contact as well as excellent self-lubrication.

The base materials that we silver plate, with the possibility of applying different sublayers (copper and nickel), are:

• Copper, brass and all kinds of copper alloys
• Zamak
• Aluminium
